What is Smart Schools
Many students today grow up in a fully connected world. But not every family can afford home internet, creating a serious gap in access to learning. ALLO’s Smart Schools helps bridge that divide by connecting students to reliable internet beyond the classroom, giving every child has the opportunity to succeed, no matter their income.
ALLO partners with school districts to provide students and educators access to the internet, allowing them to research, learn and complete assignments, even when they do not have internet access at home. Districts can authenticate devices (often Chromebooks) to join the Smart Schools network and access ALLO’s internet through community-wide Wi-Fi in SmartTown communities across the state. SmartTown leverages local businesses and residential access points to keep students connected wherever learning happens. ALLO provides this connectivity while expanding the boundaries of the classroom and eliminating broadband barriers, ensuring devices connect according to access rules set by each school. The collaboration with school districts reflects a deep commitment to digital equity in their communities.
